A Dream, A Revelation: Free Writing

Sometimes I just like to see where my dreams take me. That is how The Wanderer Trilogy came to be. There are just some stories, drifting through our unconscious, that need to be spoken.

As I drove along the highway, a similar path that I took in my waking hours, I looked up at the sky.

Something emerged from the clouds, descending onto the world below, in front of me, and on the horizon.

Small ships. Large ships. Circular in shape, but floating about as if gravity had no effect on them.

I was not scared, but the masses were. The highway stopped as an orb landed in front of my car.

Those around me stopped.

Some fled the scene, others were too frozen to flinch.

But I stood up and I stood out.

The ship opened and revealed a great light, calming to me… calling to me.

A being emerged with the light, beauty emanating off their white-gold skin.

They placed their feet upon the ground, and beneath it sprouted soft grass and the seedlings of what would become great trees.

I stepped up to this being and their voice radiated within me.

A calmness spread throughout my body as their words touched my core. “You are evolved. You have been chosen.”

Although they did not explain, I knew.

I understood the purpose of my journey at that moment.

To rid the world of it’s poisonous evil. The greed, the hate, the anger, the fear. To cleanse the earth and the people within it.

Suddenly, the light from the ship was given to me. My eyes aglow with it’s light. I touched the ground with my hand and flowers bloomed beneath it.

Animals from behind the tree-line emerged, stepping between the man-made vehicles and through the crowd gathering behind me.

They looked on to certain people and shook their head, knowing that they were tainted.

I turned to them and said a simple phrase: “There is still hope for them.”

The being returned to the ship and disappeared north, leaving behind a message for my ears only: “We are cleansing those who cannot be saved. You will change the hearts of those who can.”

At that moment, religions toppled, governments crumbled. Societal machinations that were once designed to divide us, dissolved. Material possessions meant nothing now.

We were naked. We were free.

I rose above the crowd as they stared in awe. I looked to the horizon, knowing that there were others like me. Evolved. Chosen.

We were simply the teachers. No better or worse than those around us. No more special than the common human. We simply held the light.

Our voices came like a melody, harmonizing across the globe. “Respect our planet. Respect our kin. There is no alternative.”

And that day forward, the world began to heal. It’s people began to heal. We moved forward with light, love, and equality.

For we understood our place. Protect each other and protect the earth that gave us life.

My light was given to many, including my daughter who held it with the utmost beauty.

We were never prideful. We were simply beacons — acting as a light when the people began sinking into the darkness once more.

My light lingered for a millennia or longer, and the beauty of the world endured. No longer did our Star-seed ancestors need to remind us of our place.

It was done.

We were whole again.
